No matter where you are or what you’re into, your story is valuable. Your story is unique. If you are not using social media to share your story, we’re all missing out. Never underestimate the power of your story. Whether you realize it or not, you have experiences and expertise that others are interested in. Are you on a fitness journey? Do you have culinary skills? Have you traveled? Be bold, be vulnerable and share your journey. No matter the content, there is someone who will watch, read, like, comment and share your story. Be authentically you. No one can compete with you in the sense that no one else can be you. Don’t worry about perfection in your posts. Be you. I personally find this kind of real-ness attractive. Now, don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for perfectly arranged photos with the perfect filter. If that is the way you express your story, do it. Whatever you do, be you and the right people will watch. Your real-ness will attract the right audience and believe it or not, you will end up being an influence to those watching. Engage with your viewers. Sometimes we forget where the likes, comments and replies to your posts are coming from. These are real people with real interest in what you have to say. The one thing I know about people is they love to be engaged with. Yes, real engagement takes time; but trust me, it’s worth it. In the end, engagement outweigh “impressions.” No matter who you are, you have a story to tell. Be bold, be vulnerable, be willing to tell your story. Ken |
